Ana Tiburcio was sworn into the Pennsylvania State House on March 23, 2026. Today is her 50th day in office. According to Google, the House has been in session 15 days since then.
According to the dark money ad above, Tiburcio has perhaps had the greatest start to a tenure in office in American history. In 15 days on the job, she has cast positive votes to raise the minimum wage, provide paid family leave, expand tax cuts for veterans, and voted to deliver funding to at-risk youth. All of that in 15 days. Honestly, I’m amazed. At this pace she’ll solve the Israeli-Palestinian fight by July 4th. Maybe she should be Speaker?
Some of the same “followers” that endorsed Bob “Crooksy” Brooks in Lehigh County and are complaining only about the “dark money” being spent against him, not the “dark money” being dishonestly spent for him, are at least indifferent, if not funding, of this “dark money” slop being spent for Tiburcio. These people are sheeple, and would support a current state prison inmate if told to by the Harrisburg bosses. I mean, does anyone think that Tiburcio or Gerlach wouldn’t vote to raise the minimum wage, vote to pass paid family leave, or vote to expand resources for veterans? Let’s be serious here. This is all about “go along to get along.” One is going to listen to the bosses and the other might speak out of turn. We can’t have that.
To me, this race is a lot less about voting records and a lot more about what kind of representation you want. I have no doubt that both of them would vote mostly with leadership and support things that Democrats generally support. This is mostly about whether or not you want someone who will owe the bosses or not. Kind of a simple thing to decide, if you ask me.
